At 9 years old, I starred in my first ad. My cousins and I got our hands on a flip camera and began putting our best ideas on film. Shatasta, our brainchild, was a soda doubled as a deodorant — a product we knew was ahead of its time. Once I got a taste for advertising, there was no looking back.
